WipeCert runs the DoD 5220.22-M 3-pass overwrite (0x00, 0xFF, then random data) on legacy magnetic media (HDDs).
Audit-Ready Certificates
Every successful wipe generates a detailed certificate containing the device serial number, drive model, operator ID, timestamp, and exact erasure method used.
Cryptographic Verification
Certificates are digitally signed with industry-standard cryptography. Auditors can scan the QR code on any certificate to check its signature on the public verification page.
Verification
After the overwrite, WipeCert reads back sampled sectors and records the result on the certificate. The certificate says what was checked and how.
